A Symbol of Unity: The Blue Heron Mural Unveiled in Renovo
A vibrant new symbol of hope and creativity now brightens our Annex Building. On May 16, 2025, the community gathered to unveil The Blue Heron Mural, a powerful collaboration between acclaimed graffiti artist ARCY and student artists from Bucktail Area High School.
The mural, composed of three striking panels by ARCY and a colorful underwater scene painted directly by the Bucktail Art Club, has quickly become a source of local pride. The heron, chosen for its symbolism of peace, self-determination, and resilience, represents values the Renovo community holds dear.

This project was made possible through partnerships between Bucktail Medical Center, Clinton County Tourism, Keystone Central School District, Renovo Borough, and the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park. Local businesses, including Tony’s Hardware, and dedicated volunteers like Vince Tarantella played key roles in bringing the vision to life.

At the unveiling, student musicians from the Bucktail Brass Ensemble added a joyful musical touch, underscoring the depth of youth involvement. As community members admired the mural, complete with a hidden Mickey Mouse easter egg, the spirit of unity was unmistakable.
More murals are already being planned proving that art, collaboration, and pride in Renovo’s heritage are thriving.
More details on the next mural project will be announced soon.
